All that training, all that sacrifice, all that hard work by Ray, Paul, Aisling and Matt (not to mention Peter in the UK) is coming to a head at the moment in a little town called Vierumäki in Heinola, Finland, where they are competing as the Irish Team (with Joe acting as manager - thanks Joe!) for the last of the London 2012 Olympic Quota Places. After training in RIAC last December and Intershoot just a week or two ago, and with Ray putting in scores in the 590s and Paul's PB only a point behind, we're hoping for great things from our shooters. You can follow them on the official 2012 European 10m Airgun Championships webpage and you can watch the scores go up live, shot by shot, on the Suis Ascor webpage. They're shooting this weekend, on Saturday at 0900 for Peter in Air Pistol, on Saturday at 1245 for Aisling in Air Rifle and on Sunday at 1100 for Ray and Paul in Air Rifle (all times in Irish time, not Finnish time). Wish them luck! Â
